*NOTE:  We have tested our tools for sharpness (see video).  If you are having difficulty getting a clean punch, please check the surface you are punching on.   We highly recommend punching on a firm, stable surface (e.g., a cut of granite or quartz - or a hard, uncarpeted floor) and the use of a poly cutting board or similar cutting mat on top (see photos for additional details on this).  The granite slab helps with shock absorbtion, while the cutting mat protects your tools - using these in combination will aid in your ability to get nice, clean cuts (with less effort).  Using the wrong surface can lead to undesireable results and possibly even damaged tools.
